Half a century of club squash in North Yorkshire. Generations of members, thousands of matches, and two courts that have heard more drop shots than anywhere in town. The anniversary year runs through 2026: a championship, a plate, a doubles event, and the stories behind every trophy in the cabinet.

How it works. Slots start on the hour. The lights come on 5 minutes before and go off at :55, so the next pair can get on. Cancel 48 hours or more ahead for a full refund.

Live scores from this round. Submitted matches count immediately — opponents can dispute until round end.

Divisions of 4. Each player plays 3 matches per round — one against each player in the group.
Best of 5 games to 15 points, clear by 2. You earn 1 league point per game won. Win 3–1 = 3 pts to you, 1 to opponent.
Top player moves up a division. Bottom player moves down. Two stay put each round, so divisions keep continuity while abilities settle.
Each round runs approx 4 weeks. Arrange matches directly with your group via WhatsApp, phone or in-site message.

Any member can step on from this page — you start on the bottom rung. Joining the mini league puts you on automatically, and sitting out of the boxes never takes you off. Step off whenever you like.
Challenge anyone up to three rungs above you — one, two or all three at once. The only limit is one open challenge per pairing, and several players can chase the same rung.
Seven days to play from the moment a challenge lands. Best of 5 to 15, clear by 2 — same as the boxes. Either player reports the score.
Beat someone above you and you take their rung — everyone between slips down one. Defend your rung and nothing moves.
Three idle weeks and you slip a rung a week until you play again. The ladder rewards playing, not sitting.
A challenge left unplayed after seven days hands the challenger your rung.
The number by each name starts at your declared level and moves with every confirmed result, boxes and ladder alike. Margin counts — a 3-0 shifts more than a 3-2. The rung is the pecking order; the rating is the form guide.
The mini league runs two seasons a year — Winter (Oct–Mar) and Summer (Apr–Sep) — with promotion and relegation each round. Every division winner is recorded here, alongside club champions, cup winners and team honours as the trophy cabinet grows.

This is where the record lives from 2026 onwards, and where we’ll add archival content (trophy plaques, old newsletters, founding members) as they come out of the clubhouse cabinet.

We collect this data to manage your membership, process payments, send renewal reminders, administer league competitions, and communicate important club information. Our legal basis is contract performance (membership agreement) and legitimate interests (running a sports club).

Legal basis for these is consent. You can toggle any of them on or off at any time via your profile page — we record the date of each change as an audit trail.
We keep membership records for 3 years after membership expires for accounting and legal purposes. Booking and results data is kept for the duration of your membership plus 1 year. You can request deletion at any time.
30-day grace window on account deletion. When you delete your account via the profile page we immediately wipe your personal details (name, phone, date of birth, preferences), cancel your bookings, league signups and messages, and anonymise any match results so historic standings stay accurate. A minimal record (your email and the deletion date) is retained for 30 days so that if you change your mind you can sign back in and restore access to the site. Your membership payment is not refunded or restored during reactivation — you would need to renew your membership if you want to use the site again. After 30 days this minimal record is permanently purged by the committee.
Your data is accessible to committee members of Thirsk Squash Club and to the third-party processors that run the site and send communications on our behalf. We do not sell your data or share it for marketing. Our processors:

Access and deletion are self-service. Sign in and go to your profile — you can view a readable summary of everything we hold on you (print or save as PDF), or delete your account outright. Match history is retained but anonymised so league standings stay accurate. For any other request (correction of a committee-held record, objection to processing), contact us via the contact page.
This website does not use tracking cookies or analytics. We use your browser's local storage to keep you signed in between visits (Supabase session token). You can clear this at any time via your browser settings or by signing out.
